Study Spotlight #3: Cannabis, Psychedelics in treatment of metastatic breast cancer
Many readers may recognize Dustin Sulak, D.O. from Integr8 Health, as one of the more familiar faces on this team of international researchers who report the case of a 49-year-old woman diagnosed with metastasizing breast cancer. Initial standard care included chemotherapy, a keto diet, cannabinoid-based therapy (initial high-dose tincture protocol of mixed cannabis chemotypes), and psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy at macro and intermittent micro-doses resulting in complete remission after one year. Unfortunately, some signs of cancer returned at the 18-month follow-up leading to adjustments in the treatment protocol. However, sixteen months after the disease recurrence, the patient again presents evidence of receding cancer progression. To read the full text of this case, click here.
