Dr. Janice is a wife, mother, physician, best-selling author, and cannabis expert. Dr. Janice grew up the 4th of 15 children in Richmond, California. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of California Berkeley and medical school at the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington.

She is also specialist in Health Administration by Getúlio Vargas Foundation, technical Director at NeuroVinci Clinic, and a collaborating physician of the Brazilian Association of Medical Cannabis Patients.
