PRIMARY STUDY

Perinatal Cannabis Exposures and Autism Spectrum Disorders

Key Findings:  There is currently not enough evidence to conclude that neonatal cannabis exposure directly leads to nor increases the risk of Autism Spectrum Disorders, but remains of interest to pediatricians and clinicians. Discontinuation of cannabis products during and after pregnancy, through completion of breastfeeding, remains the recommendation.
