Effect of β-Caryophyllene on insulin resistance in skeletal muscle of high fat diet and fructose-induced type-2 diabetic rats

Key Findings:  In this rat model of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes, co-treatment with β-Caryophyllene showed increased both protein and mRNA expression of insulin receptors. This could lead to future therapeutic uses in the treatment and management of type 2 diabetes.
