Opposite physiological and pathological mTORC1-mediated roles of the CB1 receptor in regulating renal tubular function

Key Findings:  This study explores the complex mechanisms by which the CB1 receptors control glucose control and thus kidney function in mice, and suggests potential therapeutic targets within the endocannabinoid system for the treatment of diabetic kidney disease.
