PRIMARY STUDY

Molecular pathway and structural mechanism of human oncochannel TRPV6 inhibition by the phytocannabinoid tetrahydrocannabivarin

Key Findings:  Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) is a potential inhibitor of the TRPV6 calcium-selective oncochannel, which appears to be involved in cell proliferation in human cancers. Results suggest THCV should be further studied as a novel therapeutic agent to target cancer cell proliferation via TPC channels.
