PRIMARY STUDY

Effects of non‐euphoric plant cannabinoids on muscle quality and performance of dystrophic mdx mice

Key Findings:  This study evaluated three cannabinoid compounds and their effects in a model of muscular degeneration. Results show, via the TRP channels in skeletal muscle, CBD, CBDV and THCV have anti-inflammatory activity, prevented loss of locomotor activity, and restored autophagy, suggesting potential therapeutic use in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
