Mental health and substance use screening in HIV primary care before and during the early COVID-19 pandemic

Key Findings:  There were declines in mental health and substance use screening rates during the COVID-19 pandemic among people with HIV (PWH). However, there was no evidence that mental health problems and substance use increased. Also noted was less tobacco and overall substance use, and fewer reports of suicidal ideation, but no differences in alcohol or cannabis use.
