Sedation challenges in patients with E-cigarette, or vaping, product use-associated lung injury (EVALI)

Key Findings:  This case presentation is of a patient who used a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) vaporizer and developed subsequent respiratory failure requiring mechanical ventilation which presented additional challenges in providing the patient with adequate sedation during hospitalization. This study seeks to highlight the unknown risks of high-dose vaporized cannabis.
