Key Findings:  This study modeling ORF8, ORF10, and M protein from the SARS- CoV-2 infection using infected cells found that cells exposed to cannabidiol (CBD) had overall reduced cell numbers, and increased early and late cell death. Thses results suggest a potential role of CBD in the innate immune system and RNA-type viral infections.
