The effect of recreational cannabis legalization and commercialization on substance use, mental health, and injury: a systematic review

Key Findings:  This systematic review finds that recreational cannabis legalization (RCL) was related to increased cannabis hospitalizations. Both RCL and recreational cannabis commercialization (RCC) increased rates of cannabis-related ED visits. It was unclear the effect on fatal motor vehicle incidents, opioids, alcohol, intentional injury, and mental health.
