Key Findings: This study found links between the effects of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) and social cognition abilities among cannabis users and strengthens the evidence that the endocannabinoid system plays an important role in social, behavioral, and neurocognitive function and dysfunction. THC decreased cognitive empathy, while CBD improved Theory of Mind (ToM) scores.
