Cannabidiol and palmitoylethanolamide are anti-inflammatory in the acutely inflamed human colon.

Key Findings:  Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) and CBD are anti-inflammatory in the human colon. This effect is not seen in cultured epithelial cells. Appropriately sized clinical trials should assess their efficacy.
