Humulene Inhibits Acute Gastric Mucosal Injury by Enhancing Mucosal Integrity

Key Findings:  Resulting data showed that α-Humulene significantly inhibited gastric lesions, reduced the amount of reactive oxygen species, and pro-inflammatory cytokines. As such, the authors posit that α-humulene may represent a novel drug for the treatment of stress-induced or alcoholic gastritis.
