β-Caryophyllene Acts as a Ferroptosis Inhibitor to Ameliorate Experimental Colitis

Key Findings:  This study demonstrates that β-caryophyllene attenuates experimental ulcerative colitis by activating CB2 receptors to inhibit macrophage ferroptosis, thereby reducing lipid peroxidation–driven inflammatory responses both in vivo and in vitro.
