Key Findings:  What is the impact of cannabis use on the onset and course of psychoses was the question the reviewers aimed to answer (26 systematic reviews and meta-analyses were included). Results showed that psychosis occurs more often in cannabis users when compared to non-users, that the ill-effect was dose-dependent, that cannabis users have an earlier onset of psychotic illness compared to non-users and that the use of cannabis was linked to increased relapse rates, hospitalizations and pronounced positive symptom presentations.
