PRIMARY STUDY

Neurological soft signs in patients with psychosis and cannabis abuse: a systematic review and meta-analysis of paradox

Key Findings:  A review of studies investigating the association between neurological soft signs (NSSs) and cannabis use in patients with psychosis, particularly first episode psychosis (FEP), found that psychotic patients, especially those in FEP who used cannabis, generally exhibited fewer NSSs, suggesting potential different physiological pathways of psychosis development among cannabis users or a direct effect of cannabis on the central nervous system.
