PRIMARY STUDY

Opposite Roles for Cannabidiol and δ-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in Psychotomimetic Effects of Cannabis Extracts: A Naturalistic Controlled Study

Key Findings:  This study confirms the psychomimetic effects of THC and the antipsychotomimetic effects of CBD and provides further evidence of the link between the endocannabinoid system and psychosis showing that CBD can lessen the psychomimetic effects when given with THC. This provides potential future options for the treatment of psychosis disorders such as schizophrenia.
