Key Findings:  This systematic review and meta-analysis included only randomized controlled trials. Results found that device-based interventions were more effective in reducing pain scores than the control interventions in reducing neuropathic pain intensity. The drugs searched included EMA401, capsaicin 8% patch, and Sativex, and the novel devices searched were rTMS, SCS, and TENS.
