Key Findings:  Looking at alcohol use, cannabis use, nicotine use, caffeine use, and gambling behavior during the menstrual cycle phase this review finds strong evidence that nicotine use increased during the premenstrual and menstrual phases. Results were less consistent or understudied for other addictive substances and behaviors.
