Key Findings:  β-Caryophyllene and β-myrcene are the most common and are probably those that play an important role in realizing many of the medicinal properties of cannabis. Myrcene induced effects include antipsychotic, antioxidant, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, sedative, muscle relaxant, and anticancerogenic properties. Caryophyllene has gastroprotective, analgesic, anticancerogenic, antifungal, antibacterial, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiproliferative, antioxidant, anxiolytic, analgesic, antiviral (e.g., HSV-1) and neuroprotective effects.
