Anticonvulsant and anxiolytic evaluation of leaf extracts of Ocimum gratissimum, a culinary herb

Key Findings:  Resulting data suggest that extracts of Ocimum gratissimum (containing prominently eugenol as well as 1, 8-cineole, β-pinene, cis-Ocimene, trans-Ocimene, trans-Caryophyllene for example) may be able to induce anticonvulsant and anxiolytic-like properties.
