PRIMARY STUDY

β-Caryophyllene/Hydroxypropyl-β-Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complex Improves Cognitive Deficits in Rats with Vascular Dementia through the Cannabinoid Receptor Type 2 -Mediated Pathway

Key Findings:  This study shows that a β-caryophyllene–hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex enhances β-caryophyllene bioavailability and ameliorates cognitive deficits in vascular dementia rats by improving cerebral blood flow and activating CB2-mediated PI3K/Akt signaling pathways.
