Key Findings:  This case study is of a patient who ended up on hemodialysis due to kidney failure after chronic heroin addiction and treatment with methadone. This presents an opportunity to discuss other drugs of abuse (marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and amphetamine)and the potential impact on kidney function.
