Beta-caryophyllene as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and re-epithelialization activities in a rat skin wound excision model

Key Findings:  Topical use of β-caryophyllene supported antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and re-epithelialization mechanisms. As such, the authors conclude that the emulgel formulation containing 1% β-caryophyllene enhances in vivo skin wound healing.
