PRIMARY STUDY

β-Caryophyllene may attenuate hyperoxaluria-induced kidney dysfunction in rats by regulating stress marker KIM-1/MCP-1 and NF-κB signaling pathway

Key Findings:  Resulting data revealed that under hyperoxaluric conditions BCP possess a kindney-protective properties. The authors posit that the renoprotective effects were associated with decreasing the level of inflammatory and endoplasmic reticulum stress markers and by restoring enzyme antioxidant activities.
