PRIMARY STUDY

The plant cannabinoid Delta9-tetrahydrocannabivarin can decrease signs of inflammation and inflammatory pain in mice

Key Findings:  In this in vitro study delta(9)-tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) activates CB2 receptors and reduced signs of inflammation and inflammatory pain in mice. This mechanism of action appears to be through CB1 and/or CB2 receptor activation.
