PRIMARY STUDY

Terpenoids From Cannabis Do Not Mediate an Entourage Effect by Acting at Cannabinoid Receptors

Key Findings:  This study did not find that terpenes have direct interactions with CB1 or CB2 receptors. The radioligand ([3H]-CP55,940), THC, and CBD were not changed by the presence of terpenes. This study was not able to explain the synergistic effects of cannabis compounds and CB1 or CB2 receptors.
